Bailey’s Three-Day Training
December 10 @ 8:00 am – December 12 @ 5:00 pm EST
This open-enrollment event is designed for tree care professionals who want to strengthen practical field skills, improve safety awareness, and gain hands-on experience across several key areas of arboriculture. Over the course of three days, participants can attend focused training sessions covering climbing, pruning, chainsaw operation and maintenance, First Aid, CPR, and Electrical Hazard Awareness Training.
Each day is structured around a different course, allowing attendees to choose the training that best fits their needs or register for the complete three-day program.
December 10 — Climbing Operations + Proper Pruning
The first day will focus on safe and efficient climbing operations combined with proper pruning practices.
Participants will work through climbing systems and techniques, positioning and movement within the canopy, work planning, and practical approaches to completing tree work efficiently while maintaining control and safety.
The pruning portion of the course will cover proper pruning cuts, tree structure, work positioning, and techniques that help maintain the overall health and integrity of the tree.
This hands-on training day is intended to help participants improve their movement, decision-making, efficiency, and confidence while working aloft.
December 11 — Chainsaw Operations + Maintenance
The second day is dedicated to practical chainsaw operation and routine maintenance.
Participants will review safe chainsaw handling, operating techniques, cutting practices, saw setup, daily inspections, and general jobsite safety.
The course will also cover essential chainsaw maintenance, including chain care and sharpening, guide bar maintenance, cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and identifying common issues before they develop into larger equipment problems.
This training is designed to help participants improve both their saw handling skills and their understanding of proper equipment care.
December 12 — First Aid + CPR + Electrical Hazard Awareness Training
The third day focuses on emergency preparedness and electrical hazard awareness for tree care professionals.
Participants will receive First Aid and CPR training alongside Electrical Hazard Awareness Training, with an emphasis on recognizing hazards and responding appropriately to emergency situations that may occur in the field.
Topics will include basic emergency response, workplace hazard recognition, electrical awareness, jobsite preparedness, and practical safety considerations for individuals working around trees, equipment, and potential electrical hazards.
The goal is to help participants become better prepared to recognize risks, respond effectively during emergencies, and support a safer work environment.
Attend One Day or Join All Three
Attendees may register for individual training days at $200 per course or choose the 3-Day Training Pass — All Three Courses for $500, saving $100 compared with purchasing each course separately.
