Thank you to all the attendees, exhibitors, and speakers who came out for ArborEXPO ’24 and made it a resounding success. This three-day event in March was action-packed, starting with a pre-conference and followed with two full days of education sessions, workshops, and equipment demos.

From the minute attendees crossed the threshold at the show’s opening to the standing ovation given by exhibitors at the end, the entire event was infused with a sense of energy, opportunity, and inspiration. A survey conducted after the event revealed that 93% of attendees plan to return to ArborEXPO next year. We can’t wait!

We were especially pleased that Altec, a leading provider of equipment and services for the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, and lights and signs industries announced its acquisition of Teupen Maschinenbau GmbH at Arbor Expo. Congratulations on this good news!

The most common feedback we’ve received was the sense of community the show provided for a tree care industry hungry for education and connection at affordable and value-filled prices. People from as far away as South America and Europe all came together to learn, see, try and buy!

The big equipment was on full display outside, ready for demonstrations and testing.

ArborEXPO’s pre-conference on March 26 kicked things off with the tree care industry’s first OSHA 10 class. Designed for entry-level workers, this sold-out event spanned 1.5 days and was a highly interactive experience.

Also sold out was the grapple saw workshop, which featured a mix of indoor education followed by hands-on demonstrations. Attendees were blown away by this pre-conference class.

Our jam-packed classrooms were filled with tree care professionals who earned continuing education units (CEUs) in plant health care, business succession planning, rigging systems, competitive climbing, helicopter tree removal, and so much more.

Our speakers got rave reviews from attendees who appreciated their thoughtful and organized presentations. We also hosted three ANSI Z133 workshops, with two in English and one in Spanish.

SingleOps, a tree care software business, operated a bustling event booth at ArborEXPO ’24.

Attendees particularly loved the outdoor tradeshow, which was filled with an impressive collection of equipment that gave everyone hands-on access to the latest technology. Even brief moments of rain didn’t dampen their spirits.

Meanwhile, booths featuring more than 130 exhibitors were buzzing with tree care professionals looking to pick up extra gear, learn about new products, and discover ways to improve their business.

Michael Raupp, PhD, gave attendees an update on invasive pests and discussed where they are originating from and how they got here.

Quite a few exhibitors told us how easy it was to set up and quickly dismantle their booths without the need for high labor costs or long waiting periods to move in and out. Plus, they also liked having a private area for lunch, perfect for a quick bite before heading back to the booths.

Speaker Bill Burley from Noble Oak Safety and Training gave a popular talk on helicopter tree removal.

In fact, everyone was provided with a FREE lunch during the two main days. Located just off the tradeshow floor, this provided a convenient respite to gain some sustenance before heading back into a class or tradeshow.

Our FREE welcome reception was also a hit and gave everyone a chance to come together as a community. This lively event featured delicious and abundant food and a chance to engage in some friendly competition playing foosball, ping pong, cornhole, basketball, and arcade games.

Mark Garvin, Jeff Harkness, and Michael Roche led a discussion about the process of selling your business.
